SOFTWARE ENGINEERING INTERN (80-100%)

We are looking for a committed and inquisitive individual who will support us in product development by quickly creating lean MVPs, front-end prototypes and proof-of-concept features. You will act as an interface between product development and engineering and help shape the earliest stages of new features. In doing so, you will make a significant contribution to the speed, coordination and innovative strength of the entire product team. 

🚀 What you can achieve

• In collaboration with our engineers and the business, you will develop testable concepts, user stories and simple workflows from initial ideas. You will create (web) app prototypes and MVPs with our technology stack (React, Python, TypeScript and FastAPI)
• You will implement backend logic (e.g. Python APIs, database queries, etc.) to bring the prototypes to life
• ​​​​​​​You will examine alternative approaches, compare their technical feasibility and support the team in deciding which aspects are worth developing further
• ​​​​​​​You will work closely with analysts and developers to ensure a smooth handover after the ideas have been validated
• ​​​​​​​You will contribute to the improvement of our internal prototyping toolkit
• ​​​​​​​You will support the documentation, demos and internal presentations of the prototype results

🧩 What you bring to the job

• Degree in computer science, software development or a related subject 
• ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Initial practical experience with React and Python and an interest in Azure cloud development, especially serverless APIs (Azure Functions) and databases (SQL/NoSQL) 
• ​​​​​​​Familiarity with GitHub, branching workflows and CI/CD (GitHub Actions are an advantage) 
• Great curiosity to quickly find new solutions rather than perfecting them 
• Ability to communicate clearly and comprehensively with technical and non-technical contacts 
• A proactive and learning-oriented mindset 
• ​​​​​​​Good written and spoken German and very good written and spoken English
